Warning Process

Inappropriate Classroom Behaviour

1st Warning – Name on Board
(include inappropriate behaviour e.g. Freddie – talking)

Allow a few minutes for the child to notice and correct
their own behaviour, if this does not happen then:

Put a tick next to their name
(e.g. Freddie – talking √) Allow another few minutes for the child to notice and correct their own behaviour, if this still does not happen then:

Put a second tick next to their name
(e.g. Freddie – talking √ √) Allow another few minutes for the child to notice and correct their own behaviour, if this still does not happen then:

Add a third tick next to their name
(e.g. Freddie – talking √ √ √ ) Receiving a third tick means a 15 minute time-out in the child’s classroom.

If their behaviour continues
Then they get a 15 minute time-out in a paired class with their work.

If their behaviour still continues
Then the child receives a lunch-time detention and a note is sent home to his/her parents.
